Because I use oil paint (and not acrylic). Oil needs time to get dry in fresh air as the paint is oil based (as opposed to acrylic that is based on water). Also I use thick layers of paint in my painting (impasto style) so it need more time.

The painting is being dry in a special room so the painting gets 100% cured, then it is covered with clear varnish spray to protect the oil paint. After that it's covered with protective cover, and being put in rigid protective shipping tube, were it's shipped securely anywhere in the world.
